Church in the home

10am

Hi and welcome to Kingdom Faith Church!

We’re Christians from loads of different cultures and backgrounds with one thing in common...we love Jesus Christ!

We have been on an exciting journey with God as Worthing Congregation and we are excited for the new steps He has for us in 2025.

Last year God has gave us three words we focused on: REGATHER, REDEFINE & REPRODUCE. To find out more you can catch up on the podcast from the 09 June 2024 where we take you on the journey and unpack what we believe God was saying to us.

One of the practical steps we took in response to that was to bring our time of meeting at Worthing College to an end. Over the next few months we believed it to be right for us to meet in homes and in public spaces outdoors. Coming into 2025 God opened up a new door of opportunity for us. From Sunday 23 of February we will be meeting in the Durrington Community Centre in West Worthing. You can catch up on us sharing about it on the podcast from 05 of January 2025 and find details in our calendar.

Because of what God has been doing among us we do treasure being church in smaller gatherings too. So once a month we will be meeting homes in and around Worthing on Sundays. Click here for more information.

We are looking forward to everything God has for us as we continue to follow Him and we would love to welcome you and for you to join us journey!

If you have any questions or want to find out more, you can speak to Kai or Andrea or email worthing@kingdomfaith.com

going deeper ...to go further

Daily Bible reading strengthens our relationship with God, nourishes our spirits and equips us to live a fruitful, effective life for Him.

This month we're focusing our reading around prayer to help build faith & expectation for people to be saved. Alongside we'll be reading a Psalm a day and continuing to read a chapter of Genesis/Exodus.

  • PSA 145:17-19 Psalm 145:17-19
  • PSA 40 Psalm 40
  • GEN 40 Genesis 40
  • 17The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.18The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.19He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

  • For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.1I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.2He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.3He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. 4Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.5Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us.None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. 6Sacrifice and offering you did not desire— but my ears you have opened— burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.7Then I said, “Here I am, I have come— it is written about me in the scroll.8I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” 9I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, Lord, as you know.10I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help.I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly. 11Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.12For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.13Be pleased to save me, Lord; come quickly, Lord, to help me. 14May all who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion;may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.15May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame.16But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!” 17But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me.You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay.

  • 1Some time later, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt offended their master, the king of Egypt. 2Pharaoh was angry with his two officials, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker, 3and put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the same prison where Joseph was confined. 4The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he attended them. After they had been in custody for some time, 5each of the two men—the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were being held in prison—had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own. 6When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected. 7So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?” 8“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.”Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.” 9So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, “In my dream I saw a vine in front of me, 10and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. 11Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup and put the cup in his hand.” 12“This is what it means,” Joseph said to him. “The three branches are three days. 13Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer. 14But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. 15I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon.” 16When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, “I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread. 17In the top basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head.” 18“This is what it means,” Joseph said. “The three baskets are three days. 19Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and impale your body on a pole. And the birds will eat away your flesh.” 20Now the third day was Pharaoh’s birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials: 21He restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again put the cup into Pharaoh’s hand— 22but he impaled the chief baker, just as Joseph had said to them in his interpretation. 23The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.

  • S.O.A.P.

In order to go further in the mission God has given us, He said we need to go deeper in our relationship with Him. As with any tree or plant, the fruit is determined by the health and depth of the root. One way we have been going deeper is by reading and journaling through the Word every day. We’ve called it S.O.A.P.

    [S]cripture - Read the Word
[O]bservation - Write down what God is saying/showing you
[A]pplication - How do we apply this in our lives?
[P]rayer - Pray through and over your life

As we read the Word (Scripture), listen to the Holy Spirit (Observation), discover how to apply that to our lives (Application) and pray these things over our lives and those in the Church (Prayer) we’re going deeper in our relationship with God so that we can go further in the mission He’s given us.

Throughout the rest of the year we’ll be continuing our Bible Reading Plan to press deeper into God so that we can go further in His purposes. Get yourself a Bible, a journal and a pen and SOAP your way through the scriptures!

You can see which chapters we’re reading today above this section.
