Church in the home

10am

Hi and welcome to Kingdom Faith Church!

We’re Christians from loads of different cultures and backgrounds with one thing in common...we love Jesus Christ!

We have been on an exciting journey with God as Worthing Congregation and we are excited for the new steps He has for us in 2025.

Last year God has gave us three words we focused on: REGATHER, REDEFINE & REPRODUCE. To find out more you can catch up on the podcast from the 09 June 2024 where we take you on the journey and unpack what we believe God was saying to us.

One of the practical steps we took in response to that was to bring our time of meeting at Worthing College to an end. Over the next few months we believed it to be right for us to meet in homes and in public spaces outdoors. Coming into 2025 God opened up a new door of opportunity for us. From Sunday 23 of February we will be meeting in the Durrington Community Centre in West Worthing. You can catch up on us sharing about it on the podcast from 05 of January 2025 and find details in our calendar.

Because of what God has been doing among us we do treasure being church in smaller gatherings too. So once a month we will be meeting homes in and around Worthing on Sundays. Click here for more information.

We are looking forward to everything God has for us as we continue to follow Him and we would love to welcome you and for you to join us journey!

If you have any questions or want to find out more, you can speak to Kai or Andrea or email worthing@kingdomfaith.com

An evening with Rob Parsons

7:30pm @ Foundry Lane, Horsham

From the boy described as ‘making no use of what little ability he has’, to an international best-selling author and speaker, Rob Parsons has a lifetime’s experience of overcoming obstacles.

He recalls the time when his father told him, ‘People like us don’t become lawyers’, and the teacher who said even his best wasn’t good enough.

Yet with the help of the people who believed he could be more, he learnt how to grow through the challenges of life.

Join Rob on a journey through the decades as he reflects on a life mixed with laughter and tears, and draws on vivid stories from childhood, right through to the present day.

He’ll tap into a wealth of experience to help us make the best of our circumstances, gifts, opportunities – and perhaps most of all – our relationships.

In An Evening with Rob Parsons, we invite you to pull up a chair and settle in for a poignant night of storytelling that will reawaken your purpose and stay with you long after you head home.

You’ll hear about:

Building confidence to move past the labels others put on you

Finding hope beyond shattered dreams

Enduring the hard times you just can’t fix

Being inspired to take on new challenges

Why tomorrow doesn’t have to be like yesterday

Is it for you?

going deeper ...to go further

Daily Bible reading strengthens our relationship with God, nourishes our spirits and equips us to live a fruitful, effective life for Him.

This month we're looking at Scriptures about the names of God to go alongside our Sunday message series. We’ll also be finishing off Deuteronomy and reading Joshua.

  • DAN 7:9-14 Daniel 7:9-14
  • JDG 4 Judges 4
  • 9“As I looked,“thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.10A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him.Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.The court was seated, and the books were opened. 11“Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. 12(The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.) 13“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.13-14I had a vision in the night and I saw Someone who appeared to be the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. To Him was given authority, glory and a Kingdom of sovereign power. The people of every nation and language were to serve Him. His authority is everlasting and His dominion will never end. Nothing could ever destroy His Kingdom.

  • 1After Ehud died, the Israelites once again did evil in the eyes of the LORD.2So the LORD sold them into the hands of Jabin, a king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim.3Because he had nine hundred iron chariots and had cruelly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years, they cried to the LORD for help.4Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.5She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided.6She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount Tabor.7I will lure Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.'"8Barak said to her, "If you go with me, I will go; but if you don't go with me, I won't go."9"Very well," Deborah said, "I will go with you. But because of the way you are going about this, the honor will not be yours, for the LORD will hand Sisera over to a woman." So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh,10where he summoned Zebulun and Naphtali. Ten thousand men followed him, and Deborah also went with him.11Now Heber the Kenite had left the other Kenites, the descendants of Hobab, Moses' brother-in-law, and pitched his tent by the great tree in Zaanannim near Kedesh.12When they told Sisera that Barak son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor,13Sisera gathered together his nine hundred iron chariots and all the men with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim to the Kishon River.14Then Deborah said to Barak, "Go! This is the day the LORD has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the LORD gone ahead of you?" So Barak went down Mount Tabor, followed by ten thousand men.15At Barak's advance, the LORD routed Sisera and all his chariots and army by the sword, and Sisera abandoned his chariot and fled on foot.16But Barak pursued the chariots and army as far as Harosheth Haggoyim. All the troops of Sisera fell by the sword; not a man was left.17Sisera, however, fled on foot to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, because there were friendly relations between Jabin king of Hazor and the clan of Heber the Kenite.18Jael went out to meet Sisera and said to him, "Come, my Lord, come right in. Don't be afraid." So he entered her tent, and she put a covering over him.19"I'm thirsty," he said. "Please give me some water." She opened a skin of milk, gave him a drink, and covered him up.20"Stand in the doorway of the tent," he told her. "If someone comes by and asks you, 'Is anyone here?' say 'No.'"21But Jael, Heber's wife, picked up a tent peg and a hammer and went quietly to him while he lay fast asleep, exhausted. She drove the peg through his temple into the ground, and he died.22Barak came by in pursuit of Sisera, and Jael went out to meet him. "Come," she said, "I will show you the man you're looking for." So he went in with her, and there lay Sisera with the tent peg through his temple-dead.23On that day God subdued Jabin, the Canaanite king, before the Israelites.24And the hand of the Israelites grew stronger and stronger against Jabin, the Canaanite king, until they destroyed him.

  • S.O.A.P.

In order to go further in the mission God has given us, He said we need to go deeper in our relationship with Him. As with any tree or plant, the fruit is determined by the health and depth of the root. One way we have been going deeper is by reading and journaling through the Word every day. We’ve called it S.O.A.P.

    [S]cripture - Read the Word
[O]bservation - Write down what God is saying/showing you
[A]pplication - How do we apply this in our lives?
[P]rayer - Pray through and over your life

As we read the Word (Scripture), listen to the Holy Spirit (Observation), discover how to apply that to our lives (Application) and pray these things over our lives and those in the Church (Prayer) we’re going deeper in our relationship with God so that we can go further in the mission He’s given us.

Throughout the rest of the year we’ll be continuing our Bible Reading Plan to press deeper into God so that we can go further in His purposes. Get yourself a Bible, a journal and a pen and SOAP your way through the scriptures!

You can see which chapters we’re reading today above this section.
