YOUTH TOUR led by Clive Urquhart
Tour Date: 3-11 April 2009
Aim of tour: To understand what God has been doing in and through the nation of Israel historically, and to understand what He is doing there today. We will be meeting with believers, both Jewish and Arab, to hear their stories and share their experience of living in Israel today and thereby understanding why Israel matters!
The tours will visit key sites throughout the land. Although exact itineraries will be finialised nearer the time, here is an overview of places the tours plan to visit.
Caesarea (built by Herod; Paul was tried here; and Peter visited home of Cornelius)
Boat ride from Tiberius to Nof Ginosar, Beit Igal Alon, Capernaum & other places around the lake relating to Jesus’ ministry
Kfar Kedem donkey ride. Pass through Nazareth and Cana
Tel Dan and Banias, Golan Heights. Visit young people at army base
Jordan River Valley to Qumran, Swim in Dead Sea, Overnight at Kfar HaNokdim (camel ride included with Beduoin Experience!)
Hike up Massada, Ein Gedi
Bethlehem and/or Jerusalem
Mount of Olives
Palm Sunday Path
Garden of Gethsemane
Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial
City of David with film and tunnel,
Walking tour of old City to include Mt Zion, Jewish Quarter including the Cardo and Herodian ruins, Southem Steps of the Temple Mount, Rabbis’ Tunnel, St Annes and Ecce Homo. Garden Tomb.
